After the success of the first-ever Ncell Presents Himal Media Mela 2022 on 7 May 2022, we are back on 3-4 May 2023 to continue the dialogue, contribute to the growth of the Nepali media industry, and celebrate Press Freedom Day with meaningful knowledge exchange that goes beyond borders where members of the media industry can attend any and all sessions of two full days of the conference for free.

Himal Media Mela is an annual media industry conclave that brings together editors, journalists, reporters, researchers, and media entrepreneurs working in Nepal and representing the industry of news information. The event provides an opportunity to receive insights from international guest speakers from media markets more evolved than ours, as well as hold panel sessions that allow discussions on challenges, issues, and important concerns of journalism today. This year, we have a two-day program that can cover an array of key topics and also allows time for more sessions and therefore more learning for all.

Who’s attending, you may ask? All the stakeholders and members of the Nepali media industry. Namely - including but not limited to, journalists, editors, entrepreneurs, digital media owners, data experts, researchers, policy influencers, and diverse audiences including women journalists and media professionals of ethnic minorities from all 7 provinces.
